What to expect

Clear answers before the cameras roll

Every factory and every brief is different, but a well-planned production makes filming straightforward and keeps disruption to a minimum.

If your question is not covered below, get in touch and I’ll be happy to talk it through.

How do I get started with a video project?

Start by sending a message through the contact form. We’ll arrange a call to discuss what you need to show, who the audience is and where the finished film will be used. From there, I’ll recommend a practical approach, create a shoot plan and agree a suitable filming date.

Can you tailor the film to our business and audience?

Yes. Every project is shaped around your business, your customers and the message you need them to take away. Whether the priority is showing technical capability, building buyer confidence, launching a product or helping recruitment, the filming plan is built around that outcome.

Do you only work with manufacturers?

Manufacturing and industrial filming is my specialist focus. I also work with engineering, technology and corporate businesses where there is a process, product, team or technical story worth showing clearly.

Can you provide photography as well as video?

Yes. I can capture industrial photography alongside your video shoot, including factory environments, machinery, people at work, product images and corporate portraits. Combining both on one shoot helps keep your visual content consistent and makes the most of the time on site.

What does the production process involve?

Once we agree the brief, I’ll prepare a clear filming plan and schedule. On the shoot day, I work around your production requirements to capture the key processes, people and details. After filming, I edit the footage into a draft for your review, make any agreed refinements and then supply the final files in the formats you need.

How should we prepare our factory or site for filming?

The best preparation is to make sure the areas being filmed are clean, organised and safe. Clear unnecessary clutter, remove temporary signage where possible and let staff know filming is taking place. I’ll guide you through the specific areas to prepare before the shoot.

Will filming disrupt our production?

The aim is always to work around your operation, not interrupt it. Before filming, we’ll identify the moments that matter most and plan around shift patterns, access requirements and health and safety procedures. Having a team member available on the day to coordinate access is particularly helpful.
